Anything Good?
So by now just about all the TV shows for this new season have had their big premieres. What are you watching now? I don’t know that i like many of them. Why has TV gone to hell? It used to be any night of the week you could flip through channels and find something worth watching. Nowadays there are nights when its not worth even turning the TV on in the first place.
Free Phones
I keep seeing all these ads for free cell phones. there must be a catch. How can some people be getting free phones but other people have to pay, like $300, for their phones? And I have to pay $50 a month but other people get it for free? What’s up with that?
Post Office
Did you ever play a game called “Post Office”? It was one of those adolescent kissing games that the kids would play at parties. I never was allowed to go to those kinds of parties and I never got to play that game. I don’t even know the rules.
Things Change
My mom was talking about the days when she was a kid in school. She says that the school would not let anyone go to public school if they were pregnant.
One of her friends turned up pregnant and her parents found out and told her she had to get an abortion, which was not even legal back then. So she and the guy who got her pregnant ran away together and no one ever heard from them again.
I can’t imagine the heartache all that must have caused. I’m glad we have much better attitudes about unplanned pregnancies in today’s world.
The thrill is gone
Thee is a great song by B. B. King called, “The Thrill is Gone.” I never really listened to the words before. It was one of those songs you’ve heard many times but didn’t really pay attention to. Until you are having problems with a certain someone. And now all of a sudden, I love that song.
